Welcome
In partnership with Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation, Bears Make A Difference is a co-ed baseball league through Mountain View Athletic Association for kids with mental, physical, and/or multiple disabilities. The league's focus is to give participants a chance to play organized sports close to home.
Our program is designed around building self confidence, friendships, and overall making it fun for participants and their families.
We believe that the physical and emotional benefits for the players, their families, peers, and our community will be amazing!!!
Buddy Volunteers
Buddy Volunteers are a vital part of the success of our program. As a Buddy, you will assist athletes to make this an enjoyable and memorable experience. This may include acting as a guide for blind athletes, pushing wheelchair-bound players around the bases, or helping the players bat and/or field the ball. Buddy Volunteers may also be asked to aid in getting the field ready for play and cleanup afterwards.
